5-in-1 Operation

• Visual (Wide): A 1/2″ CMOS sensor offers 48MP image capture at a wide 84 diagonal field of view.
• Visual (Tele): Using an 8MP 1/1.8″ CMOS sensor, you can capture images and video at up to 4K resolution, and with up to 35x optical and 560x digital zoom, you can do so for a comfortably safe distance.
• Thermal (Wide and Tele): With an uncooled VOx microbolometer sensor the wide thermal imager gives you a 13mm focal length for wide coverage, while the telephoto imager offers long-range capture with a 45mm focal length. Both will measure temperatures from -4 to 1022F, capture those thermal images at 640 x 512 resolution, and allow for safe monitoring using a digital zoom up to 56x.
• Laser Rangefinder: Get an ultraprecise reading on targets at a range of 33′ to 1.25 miles. Learn their distance, latitude, longitude, and height.

720-Degree Obstacle Avoidance

Combining 5-direction dual fisheye vision with 6-direction millimeter-wave radar, the Alpha is capable of day or night 720 omnidirectional obstacle avoidance. It is a system so accurate, it can detect glass, poles, and power lines.

Anti-Interference

Using a combo of GNSS visual positioning, adaptive frequency-hopping transmission, and Autel’s SLAM navigation tech, Alpha pilots can rest easy flying near and around complex areas or powerlines.

A-Mesh Fleet Networking

A-Mesh networking allows a single pilot to more easily manage a multi-drone fleet. You can opt for a master-slave scenario with the Alpha and one other compatible drone, or a single-control solution that can handle multiple drones. Drone-to-drone communication is autonomous and is robust enough to work from long distances or around obstacles, such as buildings or mountains.

Autonomy Engine

Collecting surrounding environmental data, the Autel Autonomy Engine can plan 3D flight paths through the complexities of a building-rich urban landscape or forest. It is an ideal solution for a wide range of industries and professions, such as land surveying, industrial inspection, and public safety.

Multi-Payload Platform

Three mounting points have been engineered into the Alpha to accommodate a an assortment of optional payloads, making the drone a flexible solution to many mission challenges. With the Autel PSDK developer platform, various payloads have been made available for the Alpha, such as searchlights, loudspeakers, 4G/5G cellular modules, and more.

Skylink 3.0

Enjoy a massive 12.4-mile transmission range when piloting the Alpha. This is thanks to the Alpha sporting four antennas and support for four wireless frequencies, such as 900 MHz, 2.4 GHz, 5.2 GHz, and 5.8 GHz. As you pilot, the Alpha is smart enough to frequency hop, selecting the optimal band for control and 1080p30 video transmission. With this ability, you will enjoy a data rate of up to 64 Mb/s and low latency.

Mission Types

• Quick: Create temporary quick missions as you are performing other missions. Multiple sub-missions can be stacked.
• Waypoint: Add waypoints for custom flight paths.
• Polygon: Quickly cover an area of interest with a polygon-shaped flight paths with a single click.

Smart Functions

• Tripod: This function locks the gimbal on a specific target as the Alpha hovers and automatically follows the target’s movements, always keeping it centered in the frame.
• AI Target Recognition: Using Autel’s AI recognition technology, this function will automatically identify and lock onto different types of targets, such as people, boats, and land vehicles. As it does this, the target’s location is presented on the map.

Data Security

With the support of AES-256 data encryption, photos, videos, and flight logs are protected and guarded via password. In addition, user and aircraft data, such as flight logs, locations, and account information, is kept secure by only being accessible through physical access to the aircraft.
